Melbourne and the 12 Apostals

Gday Mates,

Following my week in Canberra, i decided to ----->look up lol sorry

to Melbourne as there were some fires in the Blue Mountains that would make the viewing a little less blue and more gray so Pip informed me that i could head on down here, and well i think i will thank here again and again for that suggestion.

So I head into Melbourne, take a peak around the city and get myself booked up for a 12 apostals tour, which sounded like a great trip to do while im down here.

The day trip took us out from 7:30 am until 10 pm along the coast west. worth every penny the trip stopped at Bells Beach, home of the longest running surf competition in the world, where we saw some gys takin in the surf, though the waves werent to crazy today.

Next we headed on to Kuala coove, where there are Kualas all over the freakin pplace probably saw about 30, these guys are so prevelent there that most of the trees are picked clean and they are down on branches right infront of you. got a couple nice pics. They are actually contemplating some sort of contraception for the lil buggers.

Next we drove on to a place called Maites wilderness trails , where we took in some of the rainforest in the region, preety neat stuff and lots of greenery and huge ass trees so that was cool.

Last we headed to the limestone cliffs of the shipwreck coast also known as the 12 apostals as 12 towering blocks stick out of the water all along the coast, absolutely amazing, and they were takin heli rides along it for only 60 bucks, so i figured its only the price of a high quality t shirt over here so i may as well. I think the tshirt is gonna be my basis for everything over here. This place speaks for itself check out the pics. Oh and it was a toss up for the front seat of the Heli so me and the English dude you will see in the picturesstelled it in one way.........ROCK PAPER SCISSORS..........

Round one we both flew out of the gates drawin Rocks

Round Two Scissors,

Round three, he drew out scissors and i bashed him with my rock and i was in the front seat..

Wicked Bad

This was one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen.

Stay Precious,

Canberra

Well Folks, Heres a much better update over the past week which should intorduce you too a few of my experiences in the past week

Here is the legendary pip dawg herself for those who dont believe me...After arriving in Sydney, I decided to go to my friend Pippa's in Canberra, which is the capital city of all of Australia, as there was a battle between sydney and Melbourne as to who should be the capital city they ended up settling and building in a place somewhat in the middle of both. Canberra is a city that was entirely designed before it even took place as nothing was there previously. So its almost unique in a sense, and it holds a pop of maybe 400 000 so its really not all that big, and its a good hike inland for most travelleers, but manages to hold some very big museums and art galleries as well as the government buildings. This place has a reputation of living life in the slow lane and well not much going on but i had a blast.

Its almost like arriving in a park you wonder what the hecks going on as nothing is really going on, peak traffic has you maybe in a stand still for about 2 minutes and maybe increases your trip by about 5-10 minutes, so its pretty sweet. Everything is very spacious, and well quiet.

I arrived in town and met Pip at the bus depot, then headed on out to meet her family, they lve in a very cute house about 15-20 minutes out of town. Upon reaching her house, her dad shows us the tiger snake he had killed earlier, this snake is one of the several venemous ones in Aus. and just happened to be burrowed right beside the house, so this had me tip toeing around the house for a few days as i expected to see snakes everywhere but really they are quite uncommon to run into.
Allllsooo, some of you wont believe this but at Pippas house any rain that falls on the roof they collect and thats all of there drinking water, thats it... and its freakin dry here, would be cool to implement this at home, but i imagine the acid rains not exactly good for the stomach..

The house itself, a hexagon, with a garden in the middle, probably one of the coolest houses ive seen, and for someting that looks so small, its pretty freakin big, they managed to have 8 people including me living in it while i was there. Her family was absolutely amazing and i would go back in a heart beat. Pip took me on a few trips around the area, where we looked at small towns, went down to the coast at Malua Bay where we saw dolphins, and onto a hike into the escarpment that runs the coast, and the great dividing range and was absolutely gorgeous, we also went on a fantastic picnic along a river and despite high winds and some drunkin aussies throwin rocks we had a wicked day.

Also one night we had a lizard laying eggs along the drive way was pretty freakin cool as you could get right up to it and then she would fill in thehole a bit and pack it with her nose and then continue filling in the hole more, pretty sweet here she is

Stay Precious as always,

Australia F@ck YEAH

Welp Folks Sorry this took so long, but ive been one busy bloke lately.
So I will start from the flight, It was pretty freakin long, about 10 or 11 hours to Kualla Lumpur, and another 8 to sydney. And things went a lil haywire with my visa as the airline didnt acknowledge i had one so i had to put down 30euros for a new visa just to fly outta Austria.
Next, I had no idea but when you fly in overseas into Asia and Australia, they treat the freakin plane like a freakin roach infested house or something, litterally i felt like the ants in RAID commercials, The stewardists literally walk up and down the isles spraying aerosol on everyone via the ventilation system, and they give you 2 doses atleast and mention if it bothers you to cover your face if you like. I donno but this just doesnt seem legal, but i guess when disease is rampant its what you gotta do. So i got about 4-5 doses on my way to Australia.
Now Upon arriving in sydney, my visa the 30 euro one they didnt put in my right birthday so i got held up for about 30 mins while they worked that out. A little nerve racking, i mean i was trying to act all cool sitting there waiting but my mind was wondering if they were gonna send me back to malaysia or what.
So i hung out in Sydney a few days, then grabbed a bus down to my friend pippas who lives outside of Canberra, such a cool place and such a great family, i spent about a week with them. And the second i got there her dad had killed a snake that day a freakin tiger snake, yeah they are pretty poisonous, so that had me a little freaked for a few days walkin around there.
Spent the weekend at a beach house and then decided to fly down to melbourne last night as the blue mountains are in bush fires right now so not really worth going, and head back to sydney on friday for a huge concert on saturday then i begin my oz experience tour, from sydeny up to Cairns.
Sorry there are no pictures im working on a primitive computer right now, but i promis updates again soon

A Farewell to Europe

So its almost over... and im sorta reflecting on the randomness and some of the weird things i have seen on this trip and just about every city has one thing that just boggles my mind whether it be some festival or whatever. Like Venice for instance has a huge pigeon problem and tourists actually buy them more feed and go out into the croud, and the locals sell the seed like i mean really i guess they have accepted that they cant really fight these things but really it was weird. these birds literally attack you if you have any envelope package looking like the ones that have seed.
Youll see in the picture here its really outta control not to sure why they would do this i mean these things arent exactly clean, though i did see one smart person who brought there dog down and literally didnt have to walk him anymore after about 15 minutes he had gone in circles chasing the little buggers. And look at this ladies face shes just thrilled--->

And then just today it was gorgeous in Vienna so i decided to stroll around and they are setting things up for christmas getting all these little cabin huts set up to sell stuff. Nexst thing i know i look up at this gorgeous building and see all these numbers in the windows.. Im thinking to myself whats with the rondomness of the numbers is it some lottery number and they just tossed it up on this huge building for the hell of it then bam it hits me...
THEY TURNED IT INTO A HUGE ADVENT CALENDER... take agood look at this thing, crazy.. speachless
I nearly dropped its genious, i mean really genious, and it looks damn good see for yourselves

These Austrians really scored some points with me on this one, the thing that sucks is i wont be around for any of the revelations as to whats behind these damn things. They got me excited and well im sure Austrians must be loosing sleep over this thing like could you imagine if they were these huge chocolates in the windows, incredible then they bring it down and cut it all up for the people. That would be great. Chances are its just a painting or something but could you imagine, what if they are themed like the ones we got back home, like man oh man could be like goofy or something, some crazy Austrian cartoon. Who knows, though we are in austria so its more likely to be famous skiers or something.

Another thing that surprised me was one night in Florence i happened to show up the same night as the anniversary of a flood that ravaged the city 40 years ago. They had set up this crazy laser show that made it look like the river was flooding over it was pretty wild, i will try and get a video down here but no promises. Well not to sure the video will work was funky but maybe not as cool for all you..
But it has really been the surprises that have made the trip the unexpecteds because we all know we are gonna see the eiffel tour and a bunch of churches so each little surprise or neat experience has really been the greatest part of this trip along with the different people i have met along the way..

Oh and i shaved my head the other day, kinda a big deal as i havent varied from the same dew in well a lifetime, got a bit of a widows peak but im still gorgeous so no worries here and less maintenance. Malark maybe you can toss some general tips my way for sportin a little more scalp then normal.
cheers

Cinque Terra National Marine Reserve Italy, Highlight

This was an area which i would describe as more old school Italy or more round the likes of what you think of Italy being, Though it is getting a little crouded over as tourists flawk too it but still a great place for both the young and old.
Straight off the train i ended up meeting this aussie named Reegan, whom which i ended up bunking with as there were no dorm rooms available, then we headed to the med for a swim, the waters here are well a crystal blue but a little chilly but still you really cant go wrong i mean its the med right... no big deal... well maybe a tad.. nah forget it
There are a series of 5 fishing viliages of which you can hike between during the day which really make this place what it is as you can do it in roughly 5 hours and then hop on the train to get back. our second day we proceeded on the hike which was on a rather overcast day but turned out to be great. So between one of these towns there is a nudist beach and sure enough half way between we run into this old dude just hiking naked, was probably the weirdest situation ever aha naked dude sportin shoes, backpack and a walking stick, very random and hilarious, Reegan snapped a picture of his bare ass hiking up the hill it was great.
That night we ran into this American chick and ended up going out for a typical italian meal, and ended up at the same resaurant as this older american couple we ran into on the trail and down at the beach. So we eat our dinner and the couple is celebrating the anniversary of there two friends with them and order the house specialty which was this huge pot of seafood consisting of mussels, clams, octopus, fish, calamari and maybe more i forget but it was massive anyways they got two one for each couple which is far too much so me and reegan jokingly call there leftovers.
Sure enough 30 minutes later we are over at there table scarffing down delicious seafood for free and listening to there traveling stories shooting the shit it was great. The one odl dude ended up telling us about his europe trip where he had bought a vw beetle and toured for 3 months, and one day he found himself high on hash driving his car wearing an old leather pilots helmet and his head out the sunroof, really wish i could have snapped a picture of it priceless, and well his wife kinda gave him a shove and an `Oh Rick´When he said it was very funny.
anyways ill leave you guys with some pictures of the area here
Cheers

Happy Halloween?????

Well folks as you guessed it its November 10th and welp these crazy italian kids, well atleast the ones in venice, are celebrating what we like to call Halloween, which consists of them running through the streets, and banging on a bunch of pots and pans not dressed up at all and they dont go to houses but restaurants and crap like that, yeah asssss backwards i know.. i was baffled until i asked the guy at the pizza shop.. it was weird stuff and well no one has anything for them so they just give them a little change to make the horrible noises stop and move to the next spot..

Ok so currently i am in Venice its pretty cool and italy has lots to see but you would be interested to know that in italy the leaning tower of pisa isnt the only thing pulling a leaner these days i have seen like 2 or 3 church towers just running off churches at crazy angles ill try and post some pics here but we will see gimme a sec here....dont think that worked im running outta time right now soo we will see it was all in italian and red leters sooooo chances are you guys are without love for now.

Also i would like to have a vote as to how people want this done as i have left a majority of good times in my past do you just want highlights or me too keep up to date with whats going on lately and then throw in the odd highlight form earlier or what any suggestions would be magical

As always stay precious

Lights, Camera, Action....

Good Day Folks,
This is officially Bob Signing in. Its game time folks
So let me first take the time to thank my good friend Marcus who took the initiative to set this up for he is a true Peach, and angel if you will, and well im to lazzy and computer retarded to be able to set this thing up myself. Infact i attempted to set one of these up before i left and forgot the password i think, something went wakoo and i just hit the abort button.

Secondly i will introduce my trip to those who are in wonders as to where this little journey will be taking me and has taken me, unfortunately all previous photos have been sent on to my parents back home so you will have to wait for some of those.

I departed Canada on September 13 via Toronto, and flew into Vienna Austria, from which i have been traveling Europe via a rail pass for the last 7 or 8 weeks, and then on November 17 i fly to Australia and maybe Nz for 2 months and then on to Malaysia for an undisclosed amount of time but i have to be back on march 13ish so i figure a month but who really knows.

Hopefully this blog will successfully drag you through some of the events i have managed to experience along my travels and yeah its been pretty good thus far and seems to get better and better by each new city and the new people i meet.

Hope all is well and that everyone is staying very precious.

Is this thing on?

Test. . .Test 1. . . 1. 2.2. . . .test.

"Is this thing on?"

"How's everyone doing tonight?"

"So I walk into this bar right?. .. "

(15 akward minutes later)

"So I says to the guy, I says: KISS MY ASHPHALT! And as for your grandma, she shouldn'ta mouthed off like that!"

silence. Adjusts tie.

"oooooo. . . tough crowd. Alright thanks folks, that's my time - don't forget to tip your waitress."

"I'm here every Thursday."

"Without further ado, let me welcome you to the adventures of Bob."

I am not Bob, I am Marcus, but since Bob is a little busy travelling the world right now I thought I'd take the liberty of setting up a blog for him. So here it is, hopefully he will start posting intermittently as the inspiration comes, and if we're lucky, maybe a picture or two? YOU HEAR THAT BOB? A PICTURE OR TWO WOULD BE NICE.

Enjoy your blog

Marcus
